Common results of the second milestone

The session of this project belonging to the second milestone is between 1st July 2018 and 28th February 2019, during which the professional and research work took place at all the three member of the consortium in the framework the 3 strategic fields, included the 20 subproject.

Commonly all the subprojects are featured by that according to the research plans, reseaches of the special issues of each sub-area, surveys and the evaluation of them, the dissemination of the results are proceeding during the report period. The participation on conferences, publications and the preliminary work of them are significant, as well as the students are continually withdrawed in the research and professional work.

The research scholarship system worked up in the previous period was put in practice, so for now, 5 foreign guest researchers applied and were invited for participating in the project to the University of Pannonia in 2 steps. 1 person finished his scholarship research activity, which succeeded both in professional and internatioalisations ways.

Between 20-22nd September 2018  an international professional workshop was organised by the consortium member PPTE TTK, as well as on 12th October 2018 was organised the IX. National Tourism Conference with a title of “Authentic tourism”.

On 13th November 2018 took place the professional event of the Balaton Touristic Research Institute with the title of “Mi, balatoniak…” in Veszprém, on which the results of the prime researches of the first period were presented, among them the actuality of the Balaton as a life territory and as touristic destination.

The University of Pannonia started to configure the Marketing Focuslab, the plan documentations are ready.

The members of the consortium discuss regulary, they hold a meeting in every three months, as well as the follow-up of advancement of the project happens through quarter report system.

Award

Csizmadiáné dr. Viktória Czuppon was awarded by Dr. Bence Rétvári under-secretary mandated by János Áder president of Hungaryfor her activity to advance national interests and to augment universal human values. She is the associate professor at Department of Business Economics at Universtiy of Pannonia and the leader of the subproject II.5. Exploration and development opportunities of local values in Veszprém County and Balaton region. Congratulations for the award and wish you successful work for the future!

Guest researcher at the University of Pannonia

Milena Galetin, lecturer of Serbian EDUCUNS University was participated in II.5 subproject, which focuses on the exploration of local values in Veszprém region. Her theme is the role of the society in political decision-making and the existence of social trust. In terms of the examination 86 interviews were done among the social sphere actors and the decision-making stakeholders. We can mention as the output of the common work: a new article, which will be published in few months, a cooperation agreement in which the partner university will measure the producers and the entrepreneurs of the Banat region in Serbia based on impletemented research camps and surveys methodology at PE-GTK. Our scholarship guest researcher presented the results of the research between 11.02.2019-14.01.2019. to students and lecturers of PE-GTK, who are interested in it.

We, came from Balaton.. Professional event of the Balaton Tourism Research Institute

Following the traditions of the previous years, Balaton Tourism Research Institute of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Pannonia- the hungarian professional conference will be held 13 November,2018. This conference focuses on presenting the results of the current primary research, including the actualities of Balaton as a living place, and Balaton as a tourist destination. Apart from that, conference participants could listen to a presentation about the tender of Veszprém 2023, Balaton Uplands as a World Heritage Site, Balaton festivals, Balaton aspects of adventure tourism, spa culture, local values, short food chain development efforts, the economic aspects of Balaton tourism and to the actualities of wine and gastronomy tourism.

IX. National Tourism Conference

On October 12, 2018, the Department of Tourism of the Institute of Geography and Earth Sciences of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Pécs and the Tourism Geography Section of the Hungarian Geographical Society will organize National Tourism Conference entitled “AUTHENTIC TOURISM”. The venue of the conference is Bishopric of Pécs, Bishop’s Gallery Visitor Center.

General results of the 1st milestone

1st working section of current tender project takes place between 01-07.2017-29.06.2018. During this period all three members of the consortium have started professional research work- three strategic field and within them the research activity started in 19 subprojects.

In general, all of the 3 subprojects have done the exploration of and a processment of literature, creating questionnaires and analized datas as the first stages of research activites. Significant conference attendance, publication activities and involvement of the students in the research have also started.

Moreover, a scholarsystem was elaborated , which gives an opportunity to reach researchers, who work at the announced research field and young researchers, whom we can’t reach by the invitation system. This new approach gives bigger space and more opportunites for internationalization and networking, and for creating new connections. The tender invitation  will be launched at the project website and it will be send to the relevant universities.

A professional conference entitled Innovation, Integration and Mobility supplemented by a Jeremias Prassl (Oxford University) master course was organized between 28-29, September 2018 organized by BCE in Székesfehérvár.

During the organization of UP, colleagues took part in H2020 project development training on 13. and on 20. October. Between 06-03.05.2018. During the organization of UP a research camp was held in Csopak during the framework of the sub-project “Exploring and developing local values”. PE has begun to develop the Marketing Focus Lab, which is expected to be unveiled at the 2nd milestone.

Consortium members consult regularly, hold consortia meetings at three-monthly intervals, and follow-up of the project progresses take place through a quarterly reporting system.

Developing local values in practice – Research Camp in Csopak

Between May 3-6, 2018, the active participants of ‘Local economy development’ course, who are students of the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Pannon, attended two local instructors and two major scholars in the research camp. Research camp took place under the guidence of Csizmadiáné dr. Viktória Czuppon, associate professor (University of Pannonia, FBE).

The topics studied were local values ​​(built and community-building values, community-building values), local products (food and non-food), local alternative energy use ideas (among entrepreneurs), opportunities to boost tourism. At the request of Csopak, great emphasis was placed on strengthening the relationship between the Municipality and the wineries, and exploring the possibilities for further cooperation.

H2020 training at the University of Pannonia, Faculty of Business and Economics

On 13 and on 20 October 2017, 22 colleagues from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Pannon participated H2020 project development training within the project. Practice-oriented training provided an opportunity to enhance the intensity of our future international application activities and collaboration.

Innovation, Integration and Mobility – The perspectives of sustainable employment in Europe

The BCE organized a professional conference  on the future of sustainable employment in Europe on 28-29 March 2018 in Székesfehérvár. The conference was also supplemented with a master course by Jeremias Prassl (Oxford University).
